An appraisal is a professional appraiser’s opinion of value, based upon market areas, analysis of relevant information, knowledge, experience, and professional judgment.
Why get something appraised?
A professional appraisal will help you make the right decisions. An
appraisal results in knowledge. This is knowledge which can enable you
to determine whether or not you wish to sell, insure or not, buy or not.
Appraisals help in legal proceedings, such as divorce and estate
matters. There are many scenarios in which an appraisal makes good

By law (in real estate), and by professional standards in other
disciplines, it is the role of an appraiser to provide objective, impartial,

can be turned around in one week, or less. Commercial appraisals also
fall into the “it depends” category, but these can be discussed and
